“My work questions the space between abstraction and realism. The subject matter, a building site or cityscape, is a starting point for my essentially process-driven practice. Banal, often architectural spaces, become simple geometric forms, often devoid of all detail.
I’m continually interested in how text and other graphic marks relate to more textural areas of paint. Flat planes of colour sit in more visually complex surroundings to create a surface that mimics collage.”
